1. Always buy stuff from kids with roadside stands. The lemonade is usually awesome, and even if it isn’t, the smiles and confidence-building are worth every penny.
2. Try to avoid giving advice. Advice implies that the person you’re advising is broken and needs fixing. And NOBODY is broken.
3. Getting messy is good for the soul. Indulge in food fights, graffiti the walls of your bedroom, splash paint around, and get mud on all over you. It reminds you how vital you really are.
4. Be among animals and nature as often as possible. They bring us back to someplace primal that taps us into our deepest joy.
5. Practice radical noticing. Try looking at the world through the eyes of a painter, a song-writer, a photographer, or a writer. Pay attention to small details and they will reveal their mysteries.
6. Tend something- a garden, a pet, a family, your community. It’s good to feel needed and reminds us how much we have to give.
7. Don’t wait for tomorrow to do what makes you blissful. Yesterday is over, and tomorrow hasn’t happened yet. Today is the only day that doesn’t exist solely in your mind.
8. Pay attention to your intuition. When you’re trying to make decisions, be quiet and listen. You always know what to do if you open space for answers.
9. Say “I love you” to everyone you truly love. You’ll never suffer from regret, and the only thing you have to lose is pride.
10. Never forget how precious your girlfriends are. They will rally when you’re hurting, toast you when you succeed, lift you up when you need a hand, and be there- no matter what.
And of course, Own Pink!
