The necklace my patient made for me with 3 words she chose to describe me

Yesterday, a patient of mine from Clear Center of Health gave me a beautiful gift. Last week, we had one of those lovely soul-touching conversations I’m so privileged to have with many of my patients, given that we have a whole hour to connect and really know each other on a heart level. And today, she brought me a necklace she made that I inspired. Three copper discs are inscribed with the words, “Laugh, Create, Surrender.” She said, “I can change the words,”- but no, never. I love the words she chose. Am I the world's luckiest doctor or what?

The necklace got me thinking. As you’ve probably figured out by now, I have a tendency to be just a wee bit verbose (okay, majorly verbose. Thanks God for Joy, Owning Pink’s editor, and Barbara, my literary agent!) But what if we had to boil our essence down to three words. How would others describe you? How would you describe yourself?
