The Spiritual Significance of the Full Beaver Moon

November-beaver-moon-72

Hiya Pinkies. Please welcome back Pink Mystic and Metaphysician Tara Sutphen, here with some words on the opportunities tomorrow night’s Full Beaver Moon holds for us to claim our highest intentions.

The Beaver Moon at 10º Taurus will culminate November 2, 2009. It’s time to exert some energy. You are being nudged to stir and shift your ideas and talents into movement. Activate yourself toward acquiring security and resources. Solutions are all around you. Make solid choices and move forward one step at a time. Most problems and burdens are fixable – the challenge lies in making up your mind and freeing yourself from your own inner critic. Let your mantra this month be, “I deserve relief, I deserve a reprieve, I deserve recovery.”

Your spirit is vast and knowledgeable, and you instinctually know what is good for you and what is not. You have the capability to feel the direction in which you need to go. You may be using your head to justify doing something that doesn’t suit you. Don’t say yes when you mean no. If you are being railroaded by circumstances, recognize it as such, and then will yourself in the direction of the life you want to live.

The essence and shine of the moon illuminates you for the whole world to see. It’s time to own the real you – including who you are, and what you want.

Journal Questions:

  • Procrastination: What areas of your life aren’t you handling. Money aspects? Love opportunities? Family time and energy? Career path? Time for rest or play? Body image issues? Health priorities? Job assessment? Home or work projects? Better life? How can you change?
  • What are you running from? What and whom you have pushed away from yourself?
  • Why might you think you don’t deserve the best of love? Or the best career? Or the best job? What has made you unsatisfied or suppressed your self-esteem?
  • Where are you only being hard on yourself, when in truth everything is okay just as it is?
  • What solutions come to mind when you ask yourself these questions? Do you have more questions that need to be answered?
  • What is less than perfect that you wish to fix? What is one thing you can do to step in the direction of a more meaningful life? Have a starting place and work from there. But remember: it’s time to actually begin – not just writing, but living the story you have written for yourself.

Dancing under the moon,

Tara

Thank you so much for this Tara. I love all the journal questions which seem very obvious but often, we don’t tend to give them enough awareness.
I have been using my head to justify going against my ‘true’ direction but there are some shifts happening – yay. I’m writing out all these questions to give myself an intention so I can feel my direction.

this moon has really bought some wild energy my way!

  3. Lissa Rankin says:

Oh really, Jane? Do tell…I love wild energy stories!

  4. jane says:

not wild as in dancing naked in the main street wild, but wild as in the flow of inspiration just pouring in… painting a whole painting in one day, blogging with joy connecting with the spirit of magic that is in everything i come across… i am just loving the full beaver image (coz i had more gynae examinations today and that made me chuckle! on the beaver thing :-) )

  5. Lissa Rankin says:

You go girl! More power to ya! (And yes, when Tara sent me the Beaver moon thing, Joy and I giggled too. I am a GYN after all! But hey- it’s a beautiful powerful moon, just like our beautiful powerful yonis, right? xoxo

  6. jane says:

a great time to honour yonis – it is part of owning the real me!

  7. I came up with a terrific book idea not too long ago and have completely pushed it out of my agenda. When I was reading the questions you wrote, that is what really came up for me.

Tomorrow I will take advantage of this full moon and create an action plan for getting my book idea rolling.

These are my favorite kinds of post; they tell you a story, make you look further into yourself and then give you that little push you need to get started.

    Thank you!

  8. Lissa Rankin says:

Funny how a full moon that shift the energy within us, eh? Megan, girlfriend, you have so many gifts. I can’t wait to see what this spawns for you!

The message within this post is oh-so-very timely. I have allowed life and its inherent challenges to lead me astray from my core values and my spiritual and creative practice and expression. Thank you for putting these observations into very empowering language!

Currently, I’m going through what has be the biggest challenge in my adult life. Truly horrific repressed memories are surfacing, and they demand their reckoning. I am in the process of setting up a support system that will make the unveiling of these long-buried horrors not only possible, but also safe.

As I read the post above, I was struck by the similarities in our world views and approach to daily living. Even in the darkest moment, I look for joy and laughter, and usually find them in abundance.

Thanks for being a lovely beacon of light for all who fight the shadows and face the darkness.

With heartfelt thanks and deep respect,

    Jo

  10. Lissa Rankin says:

    Blessings,
    Lissa

  11. Jo,

    Hey Ladies,

Blessings to all. New to the site but think this Beaver Moon is most important for me. Felt a block, of some sort, but I believe it to be going away. I have much creativeness inside. Right now I must decide by my professional career and personal life which items/stuff/areas/directions to pull and use. I intend to make the right decisions using my inner peace but I may need help. Thanks.
