Yes, we all do go through many of these moments, and yet have our own experiences of waking up that little bit more to what our life is truly about each time. Thank you, Alice, for this gorgeousness. There are definitely moments I consider epiphanies, but they are so few. I never stopped to think that the moments you describe — ones that are common to most of us — are no less significant than those profoundly rare and totally unique “aha” moments. (Though actually, come to think of it, even if we have all experienced heartbreak, for example, those experiences are all totally unique to each of us, aren’t they?) I love this piece because it wakes me up to where other profound, life-changing moments might exist where before I’d just say, “eh, that happens to everybody.” Thank you for always alerting me to the miracles in my life. Love and gratitude to you. Hope the retreat went well! xxo
