Today, I’m going to be on television for the first time (View From the Bay, ABC TV in San Francisco at 3pm PST!) Thing is, I hate cameras. But it’s all in service to my mission. I believe that my work- Owning Pink, my book, the Owning Pink Center- is like air for a world that is suffocating. We have been so stifled by trying to put ourselves in boxes that don’t fit that we have forgotten how to breathe. We have beaten ourselves up and suffered in silence. We have settled for living lives that are less than vital. We have isolated ourselves so that we feel completely alone in our struggle to be free. I believe it doesn’t have to be this way. I believe- together, with Divine guidance, we can change the world (no biggie). When you boil it down, I believe in YOU.
So today, I will talk about how life’s too short not to take risks and offer tips for how to live a balanced life, even if you can’t live a balanced day. I will overcome my fears and articulate my message with grace and poise. I will be authentic to who I am, even if they have to bleep me! I will let my freak flag fly…
Because life IS too short not to take risks. Going on television to be the ambassador for Owning Pink is yet another Pleap (pink leap of faith). I believe that if I leap, all of us will fly.
10 Tips For Taking A Leap of Faith
So let me encourage all of you to do what I’m doing today. Get out there and Pleap, if your heart tells you it’s right. What Pleap are you dying to take? What would you do if you sent your brain to time out and just lived from your heart? What action step would make you giddy with glee? What fear is holding you back? How might you release those fears to pave the pathway to true mojo? What first step might you take towards making it happen?
Jumping off cliffs right and left- WHEEEE!!!!
Lissa

You are such an inspiration! I saw you on the show yesterday from across the Bay and you were great! I would of liked it if they had given you more time in the spot light.
Thank you so much for the reminder to have faith and take the Pleap even when I'm afraid there will be no safety net to catch me if I fall.
Have a great weekend!

Thank you for this incredible post. Thank you for pleaping for all of us, showing us how it's done and using your pleaps to serve us all. I love this:
"We have been so stifled by trying to put ourselves in boxes that don’t fit that we have forgotten how to breathe. We have beaten ourselves up and suffered in silence. We have settled for living lives that are less than vital. We have isolated ourselves so that we feel completely alone in our struggle to be free."
How did you know? You can so tap into all of our hearts. This is one of my favorite posts of yours so far. I will sit with the 10 tips you listed as they are so powerful.
And Stacey- I LOVE your mantra you listed above. Thanks, hon! And yes, the camera will LOVE Lissa.
Here's to pleaping!
Cheering you on like mad,
Danielle xoxo
Hi Lissa! ((Waving to you
By Stacey (not verified) on Friday, 04/02/2010 at 7:11 AMHi Lissa! ((Waving to you across the Bay!)))
Thank you so much for sharing your encouraging and inspiring message with us!
One of my mantras is "The What and The Why, not the How and the When." I've learned that the only thing that really matters is whether I *want* to do something and then I just keep putting one foot in front of the other in the direction of dreams and somehow I always get to my desired destination. Best of all, I'm having a pretty fabulous time on the journey!
I hope SO much that you enjoy your experience on The View from the Bay! You may hate the camera, but it is going to LOVE you! Much love, Stacey
Dearest Lissa, I have total
By Sharon D. (not verified) on Friday, 04/02/2010 at 5:19 AMDearest Lissa, I have total faith that you will be fantastic today! Congratulations on manifesting so solidly! :-)
Life is a series of events - nothing more, nothing less. Do we want to be an event planner or simply be one of the crowd at someone else's event/party/life? Having Pleap means to me having enough faith and presence in your current event to have build the foundation to help plan your next event. And on we grow!
The tips you share Lissa could work for any aspect of life; a relationship, a business, buying a house, and many more! It is GOOD SENSE! I'm printing this list out, enlarging it and putting it right above my computer - planning for the days I'm having trouble making a decision - a quick check, decide and move on.
Thanks so much Lissa!! And thanks to all you Pinkies!!
Much love & Blessings Sharon
