How Being A New Mom Can Make You Lose Your Mojo

Lissa Rankin, 2 days postpartum, with Siena- in the midst of her Perfect Storm

I just appeared on View From the Bay in San Francisco, talking about how it feels to be a new mother- and reassuring you that all those feelings you might have- the doubt, the regret, the fear- they're all NORMAL. You can love your child and be a great mother and still experience all kinds of paradoxical feelings. You are not alone.

Wow. Great 2nd interview..ur

Wow. Great 2nd interview..ur a natch. but more...this time her questions open up and allow for you to pour out...fab that you share the journal. fab that you stand for saying this is a topic we ought to be talkin up more. fab that you own yes it's okay to feel what you feel....kinda wished the interviewer would have let you continue w/ solutions..but that will come. she's already asked you to 'please come back.' to me sign that they see this isn't a quiet conversation happening in kitchens anymore....so glad you keep saying yes to these... lissa there's gotta be a way they can show a url on the screen..do a screen shot of owning pink..b/c if folks are hearing from the kitchen or bathroom....she says it fast...and you want the viewer to 'get' the site down.....see if that's possible for next interview...to either flash the owning pink url or the shot of owning pink web page...jory did this with all the tropical OJ series...the intro of the blogger was a screen shot of their website.....

sooo grateful for the exposure for owning pink, for your work and for all women to own their feelings:)

big luvs :)

I've watched your interview

I've watched your interview three times now and I garner something different each time. Well Done, my child! You are a wonderful mommy and are blessed to have a fabulous daddy for your wonderful, sweet, nearly perfect daughter.

Very nicely done, Lissa. I

Very nicely done, Lissa. I loved your reading of your letter to Siena...and I'm sure your words were a comfort to many young moms watching the segment.

My daughter is now 30 and fabulous...but I have a vivid, clear memory of sobbing with her in my arms on the day I brought her home as a tiny baby from the hospital, thinking I had no clue whatsoever.

Sending love...
