I’ve been on a conscious, 15 year quest for work-life balance and have actually achieved a great deal of it (throws confetti). Recently I’ve been documenting a lot of my learning about what’s worked and what hasn’t during this time, and integrating it into my coaching practice, but it wasn’t until last week that I had a really important ah-ha! that I wanted to share.

Love,

As author Richard Ford said in this article about money and the writer, “It mattered a great deal more that my novel would be read than that somebody paid me."

I often don’t start tasks right away, but I’m not a procrastinator. Traditional wisdom would have us believe that delaying, even in the slightest, on starting a project is automatically avoidance.

My cat taught me an important lesson this week. In the summer I spend a lot of time in my back yard, which means I'm constantly going in and out of my patio door.
