Humor me on this one. This is all about my own confusion, so it may be more obtuse a read for you than I intend. By the end, maybe you can help me.

We talk a lot at Owning Pink - and in our society - about leaps of faith. Here at Owning Pink we have a special variety, the kind that you take when you're following signs from the Universe towards your highest calling. We call these Pink Leaps of Faith (or, Pleaps for short).

I have a confession. When I first came across Owning Pink last spring, I was turned off. Not by the content, but by the color. I’m a tom boy. Not a girly girl. I was the little girl that refused to wear pink. My mother was resigned to paint my room yellow because I wasn't doing pink. My theme song is Dar William's "When I Was a Boy." Like her, I would much rather climb a tree or play in the mud than be caught in pink. Own Pink? Own Purple maybe, but not Pink.

Lauren Sheehan is breaking through the barriers of inauthenticity and masks through Feminine Rhythm. As she quotes on her site, "every time you come in contact with the ground you are sending a shock-wave of energy into the earth proclaiming who you are, what you believe and what you desire." He also said, “Women have a special capacity to lead us to a more peaceful world with compassion, affection and kindness. "Faith is to believe what you do not see; the reward of this faith is to see what you believe." -- Saint Augustine
I have just started to read the book, MESSAGES: Signs, Visits, and Premonitions from Loved Ones Lost on 9/11 by Bonnie McEneaney. It is a powerful testimony to the many ways that our loved ones communicate with us after their death. The ways in which they reach out are different and varied -- but the result is a peace and knowing that those we love continue to be very much a part of our lives.

Something has come over me. For months now I have been telling myself it will pass, but after this long, I cannot keep saying it. It would be a lie if I continued to act as though this space I am in is not part of who I am. If it weren’t, I wouldn’t be in it. Last week I wrote myself out of this space and referred to it as “the funk.” A day later I felt fine. However, I had an eerie sensation the funk would soon return.
