Lately I’ve been on the verge of a shift. I’ve experienced a lot of them over the years – new living situations, new careers, new relationships. But this one is different. It’s like there’s a part of me that’s about to burst through and experience the world differently.
The possibility of what it can be like feels liberating. There’s no more fear of what others will think. No more shakiness in my body. No more second thoughts about what I’m about to say or the decisions I’m about to make. It’s just an expression of my truth with confidence and ease.
I’ve always referred to this state as ‘expanding into my full power.’ Each person may have a different image or experience of what this can look like for them. I’ve often seen it as my warrior self who’s finally ready to take center stage.

In my last article, I spoke about a vision for a new form of marketing. One where, as business professionals, we could attract opportunities to us that were in greater alignment with our deepest intentions, both individually and collectively as teams. In this new world, there would no longer be a need for fear-based advertising. Instead, it would be about the presence we cultivated in ourselves as the key ingredient to greater abundance for everyone on the planet.
There was one piece of the vision that I left out -- the actual image that came to my mind of what the process could look like for both entrepreneurs and entire organizations. I’ve decided to write about it here.

If there is one thing I’ve taken away from my many years of marketing, it’s a vision for how things could be different. I mentioned in a previous blog post a vision that had come to me a while back about an entirely new form of marketing.
The vision is less about ‘perfecting’ the right message for a web site or building awareness through clever promotions. Instead, it’s more about the presence we cultivate in ourselves as the key ingredient to greater abundance.

Letting it in
It came through me like a powerful wind. I looked down at my hands and noticed I was no longer in complete control. Certainly I was allowing it to happen. But the words were writing themselves. Whatever was coming out was now flowing through me, not from me. I felt that if I paused, this wave of inspiration would be gone forever. I raced to keep up with it.

The Matrix
It was about three years ago and I was exhausted. I had recently come back from a trip to Australia. My intention was to spend time with a good friend and rejuvenate. The spending time with a good friend part was great. The rejuvenation part didn’t last long.
