We are proud to announce that Owning Pink Center founder Dr. Lissa Rankin’s book What’s Up Down There? Questions You’d Only Ask Your Gynecologist If She Was Your Best Friend comes out September 28. To promote her book, Lissa will be launching out on a 15 city book tour, where she will be speaking at colleges to educate women about how to nurture and love all their parts, especially the girly ones.

Because of the tour, Lissa will be away from the Owning Pink Center from September 26 until Thanksgiving.  So stay tuned. You’ll be seeing her on national television, reading about her in magazines such as Glamour, Redbook, Marie Claire, Health, and Women’s Health, and hearing her on Oprah radio. But she won’t be back in the flesh until December.

If you’ve been meaning to make an appointment with Lissa, please make an appointment now, before she leaves. Lissa will be working extended hours until she goes to make sure she can meet your needs, answer your questions, and set you on the path to your most vital self.

In her absence, Lissa’s colleague, Dr. Lisa Brent (link to Lisa’s bio), a naturopathic doctor who works at the Owning Pink Center, will be covering for her. Dr. Brent is happy to accept new patients, follow up with patients of Lissa’s who need help, or field any emergency questions you might have while Lissa is gone. So don’t worry. You’ll be in good hands!

Dr. Lissa Rankin has this to say about Dr. Lisa Brent:

“I searched long and hard for the right doctor who shares my vision, has a similar bedside manner, appreciates complementary and alternative approaches to integrative health, and shines a bright Pink light on all who meet her. Trained as a naturopathic doctor, Lisa has more experience than I do in all things natural, and I often pick her brain as I continue to learn more about how to combine Eastern and Western medicine. She writes for OwningPink.com (link), helps me lead the Mommies with Mojo salon in Mill Valley, brings to her practice the experience of raising three children, and is trained in acupuncture. When she sees my patients while I’m gone, she will know how to reach me and will consult with me whenever necessary.  So don’t worry. I promise your needs will be met!”            -Lissa Rankin, MD

A Note From Lissa to her Patients:

“Thank you all for your support and faith in me as I embark upon this journey to share the Pink mission with the world.  After I’ve spread the word, I will be back here at the Owning Pink Center, welcoming you with open arms and feeling gratitude for all we’ve created here together. Thank you for understanding that this is something I must do, and know that I will be with you in spirit. And don’t forget that you already have all that you need to have all that you want. Your vitality is your birthright, and I believe in you.”
