Ready, set, goals! This Friday, January 11 the new moon in Capricorn fixes our eyes to the proverbial prize. It’s time to think big… and bigger still. Capricorn is the sign of outsized ambition, the zodiac’s motivator who also gets the job done right. New moons are dates for planting seeds which we harvest under the light of the corresponding full moon six months later: in this case June 23^rd.  Haven’t made your epic resolutions yet? Years ago, I posted a playful, heart-in-cheek article about the emerging post-feminist femme fatales (PFF) on a staunchly feminist website. A PFF, I wrote, was both an “accomplished woman in all political, social, environmental and economic arenas,” and an “enchantress.” Confident and graceful, funny and committed to social justice, she wore lingerie, laughed at her whim, ate her cake and shared it, too, without counting calories or flaws.

Eating healthy is easy!  Seriously.

It's the New Year as I write this.  The topic on my mind is LIFE.  Yesterday in church with the teens I teach we discussed LIFE as a power.  I said to them that LIFE is what we experience in this moment, right now.  Life is not in the past.  The past is gone.  If you're hanging out in the past, you are in a ghost town.  Life is not in the future.  The future is not guaranteed, it doesn't exist until it becomes the present.  All of our power is in this moment right here.  So what can you do with this moment?
