Three months ago, I decided my dream life would be to travel the United States, seeing new places, people, and things and taking in all the different lifestyles along the way. Seeing as how I work for Owning Pink (from my computer) and have relationships with men and women all over the country (or world, for that matter,) through the Online Pink Community, I had the resources and means to do just that. On February 16, 2010 I took off on The Magical Eyes Tour leaving Dallas, Texas and heading toward Northern California- mapping it out as I went; living my dream life.

This week, I had a patient who came in because of an abnormal pap smear, but we ended up chatting a whole lot more about the anatomy of girl parts. It still amazes me how many of you out there still don’t really understand the Pretty Pink Pussy (that’s code for vagina, vulva, clitoris, etc…you get the picture). So this post is my gift to all of you for whom “down there” is still a mystery. I can see you all blushing now (Oh my, that doctor just said the word pussy!) But don’t be shy or embarrassed. HPV (Human Papillomavirus) is the most common sexually transmitted disease, and it will infect 75% of young women before the age of 50, if they don’t get vaccinated. It’s the virus that causes genital and anal warts, abnormal pap smears, and cervical cancer. Hiya Pinkies. This was a question that someone originally asked me for my book, What's Up Down There? Questions You'd Only Ask Your Gynecologist If She Was Your Best Friend. It ended up being cut from the book but is still interesting info - hope you find it helpful!

Then I met my husband and realized, on our second date, that if I hung out this guy who I adored, I was likely to end up a mother.

My world has been swirling around Marla Maples's world for some time now. We share mutual friends like Mojo Mentor Tara Sutphen and kickin’ artist Kandy Lozano from my book Encaustic Art: The Complete Guide to Creating Fine Art With Wax. Once upon a time, Marla and Tara interviewed me for Tara’s radio show. But recently we had the chance to connect more intimately, and today I'll be a guest on Marla's Awakening With Marla Maples radio show, so please listen! I’m so excited to share with all of you where Marla’s vision and mine overlap.

With all this talk about motherhood floating around - Mother’s Day brunches, kids making shell necklaces, and flower displays at the local grocery store, you may be feeling…well…left out.

Yesterday was my pink business partner Dana Theus’s birthday, so this is for you Dana. Many of you may not know, but Dana has been volunteering her valuable time as a marketing consultant for Magus Consulting to help Owning Pink thrive. And she does this out of pure love for our mission. So this is a post of gratitude, to my dear friend and savior. Without you Owning Pink wouldn’t be what it is today. Happy birthday love!
