April is a writer, a daydreamer, a Personal Protection Agent, and most notably a mommy to her spastic and snuggly cat Emmy and an Auntie to her precious three year old niece.  On occasion she’s even been known to consider herself a fledgling sketch artist.  When she looks through the windows of life she sees things in watercolors, bright, vibrant, slightly running together, rich, warm, luminescent.

Professionally she has spent twelve years in the protection industry, serving in many capacities. Over the past seven years she has been a dedicated Executive Protection Agent, traveling with and providing close quarters personal protection for her clients. Currently she is on hiatus from protection work in order to focus on her own personal journey of healing and self discovery.

She would rather run through the rain and get drenched than wait for it to pass. In fact she hopes it will rain so she can run through it.  She would rather spend quality time with a close friend or two than spend the night out partying.  She would rather pick wildflowers with her niece than do just about anything.  She is convinced that happiness is found in the little things and thinks these things make her more of who she is than any of the education or training or work experience she’s had.

April has a playful, goofy side and nerd-ish tendencies.  She takes great amusement in being as random as possible with her thoughts because she believes that magic lies in random observations. She’s prone to laughing uncontrollably for no reason at all when she’s around people she’s comfortable with.

She’s passionate about many things, the national campaign to end domestic violence, raising awareness about child abuse, working with battered women to help them take control of their lives back, and animal rights.  She feels called to stand in the gap for those who are still learning how to stand for themselves.

She is a minimalist to the extreme, expect her to not need much in order to be happy. She’s an introvert learning to have extrovert qualities, and she is excitedly wide open to wherever the road of life takes her.
