Owning Release and Moving On: A BLUE Moon (So PINK!)

Wednesday, December 30th, 2009

bluemoonDear Pinkies, welcome back Pink Astrological and Mystical Goddess Tara Sutphen, here to tell us about the moon under which we’ll be partying, reflecting, and ringing in the New Year. Not only will it be a full moon, but a BLUE moon. A special way to end an amazing year, no? We’ll let Tara tell you the rest, with big Pink bows of gratitude.

****

The Long Night “Blue” Moon at 10* Cancer will culminate December 31, 2009, 11:13am PST. A Blue Moon is when there are two full moons in one calendar month. Also this moon will be a partial lunar eclipse, only visible in Europe, Asia & Africa, when Umbral shadow will cover 7.6 percent of the moon’s surface.

Eclipses are about change or letting go – often in order to bring something exciting or illuminating into your life. Since it’s the time of New Year’s Resolutions, you may as well get clear about your intentions, embody the spirit of great change instead, and take hold of life instead of letting it whip you around.

What’s holding you back?

We are in the darkest days of the year, so dig deep within yourself and bring to the fore those latent dreams and desires. Examine your feelings to see where they might be blocking you from moving forward in life. How do emotions clog your ego (or sense of self)? What are you able to accomplish in your everyday life, and where don’t you feel as good about yourself? What feelings might be hiding, and what is stopping you from dealing with them and bringing them out to examine and rectify? Recognizing the lost and hurt feelings and old wounds is enough to help us in life – we can bring them forth, kiss them better and put them back deeply inside our souls as knowledge and wisdom. It’s about reactivating our trust.

Excavating the Real You

Dig, Dig, Dig out those sordid, agitating or despairing thoughts and wounds. It’s time to create your new ego and the foundation on which it rests. Where do your soul and your ego sit within you? They should be resting on a glowing, feather-soft nest, not on a bed of nails.

Did someone make a disparaging remark to or about you? Call your self esteem back. Did someone wound your soul? Call back the shards and your confidence. Did someone not love you enough? Call your love back. Did you give too much to others without being acknowledged or appreciated? Call your expectations back. Have you lived in fear? Call back your courage. Call back the lost parts of yourself – they are yours, after all.

You have come to create the best earth life you can, begin to activate your life force and wholeness into your trust center. You give because it is an honor to give, you love because it is your legacy. Remember that the natural state of your mind is clarity, and there is no confusion. Bring back the lost parts of you.

Journal Questions:

What is your ego? How big is your ego? Is it as big as your soul? Is your soul gigantic and your ego small, or vice-versa? Are your ego and soul balanced? How are they in harmony? Are you well balanced or in disharmony?

Are you personally out of control with your ego? Where? How? Why? What would bring you in balance? Why do you overcompensate? Where do you feel less than? Where have you been wounded? Emotionally? Mentally? Physically? Soulfully? Who and what is to say that you are out of control?

Describe your ego and it’s base connections. How do you protect yourself and your ego? How do you manipulate yourself or others? How do you gain favor with others or not? What are your motivations? Do you feel these are instinctual feelings and reactions? Or are they thought out and carefully planned?

Where can you sooth your deepest sadness and re-awaken your longings? Where does knowledge and wisdom begin and end? Where will you use your wisdom? Do you use good knowledge to evolve your primitive or radical ideas, thoughts or actions? Where do you risk? Are you clear about what you want to gain?

Bring your sorrows out, kiss them and put them away. They are meaningful, and in their highest form can lead to great learning. Allow them to be thus. If you are to make progress, decide to do it now – no more waiting for the right time.

Here’s to a transformative New Year,

Tara

The Full Cold Moon: Looking Inward At What We Need

Wednesday, December 2nd, 2009

fullcoldmoonHiya Pinkies. Please welcome back Pink Mystic and MetaphysicianTara Sutphen, here with some words about the Full Cold Moon on looking inward, walking the talk, and making shifts to help align yourself to the life you want to live as you move closer to 2010. Take it away, Tara!

The Cold Moon at 10* Gemini will culminate December 2, 2009. A reprieve from over exerting yourself, it’s time to be in your head again and make plans on the direction you need to move. It’s not about what others need- it’s about you. Communicate what is in your mind and your heart. How will you focus and be successful on your goals? During these holidays, make a personal wish for yourself. Write it down, express it in some way-discuss it with your best friend, or a confidante. Move your ideas and solutions into your mind and let the words come into your voice.  Access and decipher what is good for you. To speak it makes it real.

Many times we communicate our ideas and others do not hear. Are others simply not listening or are we not activating ourselves to be heard? It’s time to move our very essence into getting the life that makes us happy and healthy. This month is all about communication and coming into a #1 position. You are not a second class citizen waiting for entry- you are already here. Recognize what it is you want and why you want it.  Does it move you into being successful and attaining security and contentment? Stop thinking you are looking for something that is not attainable, such as the perfect job or a healthy body. You can’t wish for things and expect that they happen magically.  It does take some planning to execute those intentions. Are you ready to move into a wonderful life…or are you just in the pre-planning stages?  Why are you stalling? What’s holding you back. You must walk the talk, Pinkies.

As the holidays come, plan to make the best of them. Speak kindly to yourself, adjust your attitude, and release expectations.  If you live your truth, you will gain abundance on many levels. It’s your time for genuine revelation as the New Year approaches. Barriers are overcome if you can recognize what keeps you from being your ultimate best self.

Journal Questions:

What aspects of my life do I need to own? Where am I saying one thing and doing another? Why am I blocking my own potential? What is my potential? Where have I thought I’m moving in a direction only to find myself in a terrible situation?  What do I feel I’m doing right? What am I feeling I’m doing wrong?

Who do I communicate with? Who are my confidantes? Why do I run my problems past these people? Do they help me to understand? Do I feel empowered? Do I feel weak? Do I feel I need to work this hard at gaining footing in my life? What do I do when I am gaining clarity of purpose? Do I feel I live in the right place? Do I feel I have the right job? Do I feel I have the right love life? Do I feel I have the right health?

When I need to talk through these things, who best serves me? Who gives me insight? Do I feel the insight and advice is clear?

An intention you might set: I want to talk my walk and walk my talk.

What does this Full Cold Moon bring up for you, Pinkies? Go outside. Feel the glow. Let the earth’s energy inspire you. This is your time on the planet. How will you align your life as you move into 2010 to most closely represent the beautiful Pinkie you are?

Feeling the flow in the moonglow,

Tara

The Spiritual Significance of the Full Beaver Moon

November-beaver-moon-72

Hiya Pinkies. Please welcome back Pink Mystic and Metaphysician Tara Sutphen, here with some words on the opportunities tomorrow night’s Full Beaver Moon holds for us to claim our highest intentions.

The Beaver Moon at 10º Taurus will culminate November 2, 2009. It’s time to exert some energy. You are being nudged to stir and shift your ideas and talents into movement. Activate yourself toward acquiring security and resources. Solutions are all around you. Make solid choices and move forward one step at a time. Most problems and burdens are fixable – the challenge lies in making up your mind and freeing yourself from your own inner critic. Let your mantra this month be, “I deserve relief, I deserve a reprieve, I deserve recovery.”

Your spirit is vast and knowledgeable, and you instinctually know what is good for you and what is not. You have the capability to feel the direction in which you need to go. You may be using your head to justify doing something that doesn’t suit you. Don’t say yes when you mean no. If you are being railroaded by circumstances, recognize it as such, and then will yourself in the direction of the life you want to live.

The essence and shine of the moon illuminates you for the whole world to see. It’s time to own the real you – including who you are, and what you want.

Journal Questions:

  • Procrastination: What areas of your life aren’t you handling. Money aspects? Love opportunities? Family time and energy? Career path? Time for rest or play? Body image issues? Health priorities? Job assessment? Home or work projects? Better life? How can you change?
  • What are you running from? What and whom you have pushed away from yourself?
  • Why might you think you don’t deserve the best of love? Or the best career? Or the best job? What has made you unsatisfied or suppressed your self-esteem?
  • Where are you only being hard on yourself, when in truth everything is okay just as it is?
  • What solutions come to mind when you ask yourself these questions? Do you have more questions that need to be answered?
  • What is less than perfect that you wish to fix? What is one thing you can do to step in the direction of a more meaningful life? Have a starting place and work from there. But remember: it’s time to actually begin – not just writing, but living the story you have written for yourself.

Dancing under the moon,

Tara

Me and My Shadow: Owning The Light and Dark Within You

Sunday, September 27th, 2009

woman-shadowHiya Pinkies,

Welcome back Lakenda Wallace and Simone da Rosa (a.k.a GoodWitch/BadWitch), Owning Pink’s Get Happy! Less Stress More Life Coaches. They’re here to discuss – as only they can – a topic that seems up for a lot of us right now: Owning our Shadow. Enjoy!

*************

Bad Witch: Yo! Doesn’t this just feel like I should start this conversation?

Good Witch: Yeah it does seem like you should start the conversation. HA. Actually, I want to start the conversation.

BW: Oh go on.

GW: As the Good Witch, people have issues recognizing their shadows as much as embracing it. But I think it’s because we have this idea that everything is black or white, and evil or good. And if it’s evil, then we have to kick it to the curb.

BW: Ooh!, shoes! Uh, yeah back to the curb. You know I am the queen of AND, I say embrace your paradoxes. We all are this and that. When it comes to shadow selves — or hot buttons, as I refer to them — they represent what bothers us most about ourselves whether we see them in other people (then they’re a mirror for us), or vice versa. When you see it, it’s a call to action. A jumping off point.

GW: Exactly! There’s wisdom in the dark places. There’s treasure there. Those hot buttons quite often represent not only those places where we can heal, but where our greatest wisdom resides. You just have to come to balance with it and be willing to accept it.

BW: Yeah so why are people so afraid to “go there”? I like me some wisdom!

GW: I think they can’t go there because they can’t get around the shame that there are dark places within themselves. There are these ideas in organized religion that say that we’re supposed to be perfect. That we shouldn’t have faults. The truth is, even the saints have faults! Humans are humans.

Lakenda (Good Witch) and Simone (Bad Witch)

BW: Oh yeah! Organized religion. (beat) I was raised in one and when I left it, my free thinking was freer to immediately and directly tap into my true spirituality. This all just led me to want to embrace all of me — not just the sanctioned “ok” bits. If nothing else, I believe in quantum physics and its laws. You can’t have one without the other! And if really nothing else, I’m a Libra, we ARE the scales of justice and balance.

GW: When you move beyond the goal of perfectionism, you leave room for humanity. There are good and bad in everything. I found as an aromatherapist, one thing that really opened my nose, was discovering the beauty in compost and some really gnarly scents. Even in the smell of compost, which is largely rotting food, there’s this smell of growth underneath. And even in the most beautiful scent of a rose essential oil, there is a cloying over-sweetness.

BW: Exactly! That’s what I’m saying about “balance” and that one cannot exist without the other side or an implosion happens — if we’re all lucky! — otherwise, it’s an explosion. So that is why it’s important to embrace and know and lick on the neck and accept both your sides, bright/dark, good/bad, all those labels our teeny, weenie hu-monkey brains need to feel functional. When you embrace your entire self, you actually become more functional day by day.

GW: And that’s how we learn. We learn by recognizing the place where we’d like to be better. We learn by looking at the places where you don’t like your response. Only by recognizing those faults and accepting them can you model something different for yourself. Otherwise, you’re just stuck in the same unconscious loop of avoiding shame and avoiding your truth. Thereby, avoiding your opportunity to grow.

BW: Ask yourself to recall what hot button most gets under your skin. Then, what’s your earliest memory of this feeling and emotion coming up for you? Can you now look at that time and find the wisdom available to you in the midst of that situation. Now recall your hot button. Is there a little less charge around your response this time?

GW: These are great journal exercises. Keep at it!

A Pink Astrological Invitation to Let Go: Tonight’s Full Corn Moon

Friday, September 4th, 2009

corn_moonHey Pinkies! Welcome back Pink Astrologer and Metaphysician Tara Sutphen, here with more of her invaluable insight the Full Corn Moon, set to bloom tonight. Enjoy her wisdom on the opportunities that exist to uncover what is hidden deep within during this time. Happy moon dancing, and thanks as always to Tara!

…………..

The Corn Moon at 12* Pisces will culminate at September 4, 2009 13.04/1:04 PM PST (ephemeris).

Exploring What Is and Isn’t Working
This is a month to explore what makes you tick, examining your phobias, fears and secrets. It’s time to recognize what could be freezing you in place or holding you back from your basic aims and desires. Are you immobilized by anxiety, or feel like a slave to unalterable commitments? Explore why change may seem painful. What truly makes you happy? Or is being unhappy okay? When is unhappiness not okay? You may not seek that overt happy feeling, but contentment can be achieved in many ways and on many levels.

What Are You Ready to Let Go?
Are you holding onto pain that it’s time to release? Meditate or write out lists of possibilities. You could also try a past life regression or hypnotherapy session or open up a psychology book. Embark on a search for where your most powerless self might be hiding. Where do you begin to look? Clues may lie in your mental anguish, lack of physical motivation, or spiritual unrest, feelings of inadequacy, inferiority, loneliness, or isolation. There’s no need to process this with others, as long as you are responsive to the clues that arise from your inner sanctuary.

Shining the Light
Inner sanctuary work is when you shine your inner light into the temple of your body, mind and soul. The personal power that sits within you – your life force – is the god light. In the eyes of God you are a perfect human, but we allow societal and cultural programming to alter how we feel about ourselves and our surroundings. Your turmoil may well be attached to a false sense of propriety. Go deep into your soul knowledge – what is your highest duty to yourself?

Find what seems broken or lost within you. Bring into your being the basics of grace, attitude and effort. Start taking steps toward better health, appreciating relationships and friendships, challenging yourself in your career, and being whole in your spiritual nature. Awaken the slumbering parts of you.

Journal Questions:
What are you hiding about yourself? What have you tried to hide? What don’t you want others to know about you? What do you fear – is it judgment, trust, the weather, conflict, the problems of the world? Are you paranoid? Is your courage intact?

How do you feel about yourself – your looks? Your mind? Your body? Your strength? Do you focus on self pity? Do you exclude those around you – friends, family, community? Are your support systems balanced? Are you your own Island, or are you spreading your energy too thin to be able to address your own deepest needs?

Where is the lack stemming from in your life? What are the blocks? What are the solutions?

Feel trust being activated in your solar plexus. You won’t always know where you are going, but you must trust that you can have a beautiful life.

Pink Hugs and Moon Wisdom,

Tara
