See Yourself As Creator: The Divine Lies Within Us All

Saturday, March 6th, 2010

Dear Pinkies, please welcome Pink Goddess Elisabeth Manning, Founder of Conscious Conception Fertility Coaching. Elizabeth helps those who want to be parents find “peace, certainty and partnership with your baby in the creation process.” How beautiful – and how Pink?? This woman exudes peace and positive energy. Needless to say she has had quite an impact on me, and on Owning Pink. The below post by Elisabeth was actually a comment on my post the other day about creating versus procreating. We couldn’t keep the words of this wise and wonderful Pinkie to ourselves any longer. And so, without further ado, please give a warm welcome from your Pink hearts to this incredible Pinkie … one from whom we’ll surely be hearing more!

*****

I cannot begin to tell you the swell of love and appreciation I feel for each open heart in this forum sharing their experience, strength and hope with her Pink family. I am overwhelmed by the love I had no idea was waiting for ME, here, my new Pink “home.” This will be what I get to OWN, and powerfully, so thank YOU. I cannot wait to see what we can create together…

I find my own heart already knowing you, yet longing to connect to each and every one of you individually to hold your heart and tell you, “it is all so perfect; our stories, our journeys, our outcomes, and there is and never was anything ‘wrong.’” Never. All is perfect where we are, we are enough now, in this moment, and exactly where we are supposed to be…

The way I see it? When we get down to it, we came to this “earth school” to:

  1. Live the illusion of separation so we can find our way back to the truth that there is no separation (like drops of water we are, then to drop yourself into the ocean, what are you then? Individual unique expressions of the One, so celebrating and loving the unique chemical combination of YOU as creator, as aspect of creator, is of utmost importance!)
  2. Learn to create and see our creations manifest into physical form. This is what many of us are powerfully discovering n the Law of Attraction, etc but in my book it is imperative we learn how to connect with Source to do this with integrity/ethic and for the highest good)
  3. Along the way we make agreements with other aspects of the One (family, friends, co-workers, strangers whose lives we touch and who touch us) so they can help us take steps. The challenge? So many agreements can appear ugly yet they are our greatest teacher because they help us wake up). Much of our healing is to overcome this, and discern our “stuff” from others’.
  4. We also have agreements with Creator and ourselves that, if we are not clear on, can forget and “listen” to the outside noise, programs, etc thinking it is our own. This is where we get to do the inner work: Who am I? What do I love, how do I find my way back to myself? This is my favorite part when I coach others.
  5. To have experiences. Which helps us remember: it is never about right/wrong, good/bad (third chakra) it is only about “which experience do I want to have?”

Seeing ourselves as Creator

When we are clear that we want to experience ourselves AS CREATOR this definitely is a step in the right direction. Problem I see is, we are limiting ourselves wayyyy too much. Creator at its very essence is LIMITLESS, therefore the first step is to get out of our own way and touch in with that. Meditations to run the limiting pictures and give you an experience of what it feels like to be limitless can begin powerfully here.

I believe we get into trouble when we are missing out on seeing the beauty and respect for ourselves as powerful creators. That can be easily taken for granted. Then when something shows up that we “didn’t want,” we fall victim to the illusion that we are victims “I didn’t ask for that” (but ahhh, if we take on the idea that we attract everything that happens to us– then at some level you did– so let us find that thread to get your power back!), when in reality we are just unconsciously creating. NO need for guilt, blame, that is a waste of precious energy. Just OWN it…

So yes, much unwinding to do if we are to get “right” with our creations. It is all about releasing that which is NOT us, that limits us. These can be very very deep, but I see it loosen and fall away all the time at the energetic level (much more accelerated and we do not have to re-enact our drama to overcome it-otherwise I never would have gotten this far!)

Misunderstood/misaligned creation energy often shows up energetically in a distorted second and fifth chakras. More on this in a later post, as I really can’t stop myself from this subject! It is my life’s work to understand creation and manifestation and there is SO much richness to be explored and discovered, ladies.

My Own Story

The fact that I choose not to have children at 40 is also a part of my story. I made a very conscious choice to give birth to ideas, and to be a midwife for others creations and births in this world. Once I found the core of myself as Creator, and my “Primary Postulate” (life purpose) to “Be in service to the Highest Good: To bring light to the world and positively affect others that we all may be elevated into the greater human potential,” I can DO ANYTHING with this. It was then I got scared, because I actually saw how big that was. =) That is a healthy fear and I have since seen how my creations were leading me to more and yet more creations. Now I am creating a television show – who knew??? But am I scared now? Not a bit. I am a vibrational match to my creations now. It is as though the idea “of course, why NOT?” is now a fun playmate of mine!

To ALL our amazing, beautiful creations in this amazing and beautiful world … I have sooo much gratitude for all of you.

Seeing the Creator in you,
Elisabeth

Avatar, Arbor Day, and Honoring Mama Earth

avatar pandora

I wrote this on Arbor Day and just wanted to share it with you Pinkies!

I saw Avatar last night (in 3D IMAX, no less. Wow!)  And today, I went to Green Gulch Zen Center with my family, where the dharma talk was about the interconnection between all living things. After all, today is Arbor Day. Tree huggers of the world unite! After the dharma talk, trees were planted at Green Gulch and those of us with dirt under our fingers felt a little more a part of the earth on which we live.

Our own magical world

Which got me thinking about Mama Earth- and Avatar’s fantasy paradise of Pandora. My favorite part of the movie was the flora, the fauna- the floaty jellyfish seed pods, the giant orange spiral mushrooms, the gossamer trees with filmy filaments like willows that connect you to the Divine. It’s a magical world out there in fantasyland. We gush about the movie, we whisper in Awe about the beauty of Pandora. And then we turn right around and trash our own magical planet.

Think of the majestic redwoods that live in my backyard. Or the ocean cliffs I can see from my window. What about the purple heather that blooms on the mountainside this time of year? And who in the world thought up leafy sea dragons? Talk about magical!

What I loved most about Avatar was the interconnection between all of life. I love how the people mingle their hair with filaments from nature- and in doing so, they link. I love how the roots of the trees are all interconnected to the Mother Tree- how hurting one makes them all ache. I love how the people honor the land, creating a natural symbiosis. And then the ugly Americans show up and ruin it for everybody. It had me in tears.

So I found it funny that today is Arbor Day, the day to honor trees. Several times per week, I hike among the redwoods in reverence. The trees ground me. The stabilize me. They root me, as if we are- indeed- irrevocably linked and my sanity depends upon them. If someone were to chop them down, I would be heartbroken.

It’s not just the trees

This interconnectedness to life flows through us, you know? It’s not just about trees or plant/animal life. It happens to us too. When I hurt you, I hurt me. When you berate yourself, you diminish me- because I love you and how dare you berate someone I love? This thread that unites us can feel extremely delicate at times, so much so that we may feel isolated, alone, separate. And yet, it’s simply not true. The thread that binds us is surprisingly strong, like the neurons that entangle each other to make up a thought.

If you’re like me, Pinkies, you get overwhelmed when you think about how we might help save Mama Earth. How can little ol’ me fix this big old catastrophe?

10 Tips to Help Save The Planet & Connect Us All

  1. Eliminate Styrofoam.
  2. Carpool.
  3. Limit or eliminate the use of plastic.
  4. Support local farmers- buy local.
  5. Recycle.
  6. Green your home (more on that soon from Green Goddess Tricia Barrett).
  7. Plant a garden.
  8. Buy organic food.
  9. Walk or bike if you can.
  10. Use reusable products, such as reusable coffee filters, batteries. Avoid disposable items such as single use cameras, razors, paper towels, etc.

And as a bonus for today: PLANT A TREE.

Hugging a tree and feeling the love,
Lissa

Owning Your Intuition: You DO Receive Guidance

Sunday, November 22nd, 2009

Hello Pinkies! Please welcome to the mainstage Audrey Vitolins, a motivational speaker for transformation. Using intuition, Audrey assists individuals and businesses in unlocking the gold within themselves. She’s here today with some thoughts on how we might ALL do this for ourselves. Buckle up, Pinkies … and thank you Audrey!

At the end of one of my two-part workshops on developing intuition, I was speaking with a participant who had shown to be very in touch with her intuition from the first day of class.  On the last evening, she informed me that on that very night, during one of the group exercises, she had actually “seen” the office space of her group partner and described it in detail. This person shared that this had “never happened before” and seemed pleased.  Her partner confirmed the accuracy.

Later that weekend, I was reviewing my feedback forms and  noted that this same participant had indicated on her form that she had experienced “no shift” from session one to session two of the workshop.

No shift – nothing new.  I’m not sure what she was expecting, but seeing something as clearly as “The Medium” would be pretty cool to a lot of people. In fact, I know people who are aspiring to achieve this ability.

I’ve thought about this for months and realized that this woman provided a wonderful example of how we are guided and gifted all the time, yet don’t notice or acknowledge it.  Within a matter of minutes she simultaneously filled out a form indicating “no shift” while verbally telling me that she had, for the first time, tuned into a different channel of intuitive knowing.

I love it!  What a fabulous example of what we human beings do every single day.  We minimize or ignore the Divine speaking to or through us while lamenting that “nothing happens”, “I never get any guidance”, or “my intuition doesn’t work”!

Regardless of your religious orientation, from the great saints to more modern day spiritualists, from Jesus to Buddha, the consistent teaching is that we are not alone. We are guided and we receive signs, symbols, and synchronicities every day.  Yet, why do we act like the woman from my workshop?  Like her, are you receiving gifts, messages or information yet telling yourself, convincing yourself that there is “no shift”?

Here are some thoughts.  Maybe you just don’t like how you receive the information.  Maybe you think that someone else’s way of receiving guidance is better or more exciting.  Or perhaps you hear about other people’s experiences with the Divine, cheerlead and glorify theirs while minimizing your own.  Somehow you believe that another’s experience is more valuable – or trustworthy.  Or perhaps you see someone else’s journey as more glamorous or spiritual.

Please, stop comparing. These are judgments and fears emanating from the ego.  These thoughts are also just a convenient distraction to keep us from experiencing our own relationship, our own way of communicating with the Divine.  This behavior is an excuse.  How?  Because if we actually acknowledged that we received guidance then we would actually be . . . yup, responsible!  It’s easier to act as if we aren’t guided than to step out in faith and act upon the guidance that we receive.  We neglect to develop, nurture and acknowledge our own unique communication channel and choose instead to experience loneliness, frustration and a lack of joy.

Do you know the means by which the Divine connects to you?  Have you claimed it?  Newsbreak – it’s not the same for everyone because it’s not supposed to be. The Divine communicates to you by the means which is best for your unique and wonderful self to receive guidance.  Hearing, seeing, sensing, tasting, smelling, word pictures, colors, feelings, songs on the radio, animals, vanity plates, billboards, a comment from a stranger . . . all these are possible valid ways by which your highest guidance may communicate with you.  It’s like your own personal code with the Divine.

Every day we receive ideas, thoughts and insights that will make our experience on this earth plane easier.  Now more than ever, it is crucial that we tune into this loving guidance.  Are you willing to take responsibility for nurturing this relationship?  If so, here are some tips:

  1. Relax – Trust me, guidance has an easier time of presenting itself when you are more relaxed and not trying to force it
  2. Stop spending time and energy comparing how someone else is being spoken to and use that time and energy to nurture your own communication channel
  3. Realize that daily guidance usually comes in “soft” ways, not the 60 piece marching band, burning bush, or megaphone kind of style
  4. Get excited and realize the value of the little messages – resist the temptation to brush off “small signs” as nothing or insignificant
  5. Begin to keep track of any time you sense your guidance – make a list
  6. Ask if your expectations are such that they are causing you to miss moments of connections, shifts, clarity or answers to prayer
  7. Finally, EMBRACE the ways that you uniquely receive support and guidance.  This is your unique relationship with the Divine, just for you!

So Pinkies, how have you touched into your intuition? Have you always known that’s what it was? Might you be getting guidance now, but not recognizing it as such?

Celebrating your beautiful Pink intuition,

Are You Fair Weather Friends With the Divine?

Saturday, September 12th, 2009

regina-spektor1This song from Regina Spektor’s 2009 album Far inspired me to post it here. I just heard it for the first time recently, and it’s still swirling around my head. I downloaded it to my Pink Playlist on my Ipod and was wandering amongst the redwoods in Muir Woods when I heard it. I wound up in tears. Not sure why it moved me so much, but I wanted to share it with you Pinkies. I guess it just made me realize that it’s easy to become fair weather friends with the Divine. Maybe it’s time to Own Your Spirituality and shift your relationship with JABA (Jesus/ Jehovah, Allah, Buddha, Athena, etc) to reflect gratitude and joy, not just need and pain.

Here are Regina’s lyrics:

No one laughs at God in a hospital
No one laughs at God in a war
No one’s laughing at God when they’re starving or freezing or so very poor

No one laughs at God when the doctor calls after some routine tests
No one’s laughing at God when it’s gotten real late and their kid’s not back from that party yet

No one laughs at God when their airplane starts to uncontrollably shake
No one’s laughing at God when they see the one they love hand in hand with someone else and they hope that they’re mistaken
No one laughs at God when the cops knock on their door and they say “We’ve got some bad new, sir,”
No one’s laughing at God when there’s a famine, fire or flood

But God can be funny
At a cocktail party while listening to a good God-themed joke or
Or when the crazies say he hates us and they get so red in the head you think that they’re about to choke

God can be funny
When told he’ll give you money if you just pray the right way
And when presented like a genie
Who does magic like Houdini
Or grants wishes like Jiminy Cricket and Santa Claus
God can be so hilarious

No one laughs at God in a hospital
No one laughs at God in a war
No one’s laughing at God when they’ve lost all they got and they don’t know what for

No one laughs at God on the day they realize that the last sight they’ll ever see is a pair of hateful eyes
No one’s laughing at God when they’re saying their goodbyes

No one’s laughing at God
We’re all laughing with God.
