I recently attended a private dance party where beautiful women moved in the emotionality of their vulnerability and magic happened. I was asked to work as the photographer and videographer - in between dancing - and this short video below shows what happened at this wonderful party. This video, of a two year old dancing, captured my spirit today. I’ve shared it with everyone I know who loves dance as much as I do. I’ve watched it over and over. Each time, it makes me grin wider and inspires me to get up, dance, strutting through my kitchen and dining room while swaying and shaking my hips and booty.

In my last post, I wrote about the power of creating for its own sake and for our own selves, even if what we create isn’t “good” as defined by conventional standards. Here I want to talk about something that may seem like a paradox but isn’t: the power of not creating, of taking in instead of putting out.
