For best results, watch this every morning, before big meetings, when you’re about to make the big leap, when in doubt, when your faith needs to be fueled, when you just need someone to say, “You got this.”

I have willed stuff into being. Lot's of it. Will will willing willfulness. And if you dared to tell me (brave soul, you), in the midst of my willfulness, that I should let go of my expectations, (gasp!) I would have gone stone cold, or snortle-laughed you off, or pressed delete. Because I thought expectation was a key ingredient to manifestation. Turns out it's a major distraction. And I'm done with it. For now. (One day at a time 'n all that.)

I was noodling around on the Google keyword tool with a business coaching client the other day, and I discovered that 2,740,000 people per month Google search “How to be spiritual,” which kinda blew my mind. It made me think of my 5 year old daughter Siena, who we’re pretty much raising as a Buddhist who loves Jesus. My very Methodist mother wanted to take her to church one day and Siena, who knows how to meditate but hasn’t spent much time in Sunday School, said, “Nana, I don’t know how to do God.”

For some of you that may be a pretty ballsy statement—for others it may seem like an unrealistic pipe dream. Still others may want to believe in miracles but encounter resistance. Why have miracles become a cute concept we tweet about or a possibility we turn to only when all hell breaks loose? Why aren’t miracles an everyday occurrence, a moment-to-moment thought, an expectation?

I’ve always wanted to walk a labyrinth - you know those spiraled paths that lead nowhere and everywhere.
I was in luck. Kripalu, where I was teaching a workshop recently, had one that was reputed to be particularly magical. And I got enmeshed in walking the labyrinth as the sun set for over an hour.

Something big is afoot. I’ve been saying it all year. The minute 2011 trumpeted its way in, I knew. I could just feel it. Change was in the air.
And I was not happy about it.
So I crossed my arms and shook my head and said, “Sorry Change, go knock on someone else's door, I’m not having it,” and closed the door on Change to continue with my comfortable -- and safe -- little routine. I would peer at it through the curtains, but refused to engage it in any way -- and we danced around each other in this manner for quite awhile.

I got the most adorable email from one of my Get Out Of Your Own Way students the other day, and I just had to share it with you.
I just read my Daily Flame email today and at the bottom, you've go a blurb promoting Barbara Stanny's Overcoming Underearning: A Five-Step Plan To A Richer Life.
When I first glanced at it, I read it as Overcoming Underdreaming... interesting :) I just thought I'd share this with you because it seemed so fitting.
Interesting, indeed! Her email inspired me to write a post for those who want to overcome underdreaming!

At three o’clock in the afternoon, it’s pretty easy for me to be kind and compassionate with myself. I can feed my body green juice, sit in meditation and treat myself with loving kindness, bless my body with yoga or a hike, and receive a nurturing massage.
But sometimes, at three o’clock in the morning, I find it practically impossible. On those dark nights of the soul, the voices of my Gremlins become deafening. The voices usually start in dreams, when I’m vulnerable and my defenses are down. And then the voices get so loud they wake me up, and the battle ensues in real life.
