Attraction Planning – A New Form of Marketing

In my last article, I spoke about a vision for a new form of marketing. One where, as business professionals, we could attract opportunities to us that were in greater alignment with our deepest intentions, both individually and collectively as teams. In this new world, there would no longer be a need for fear-based advertising. Instead, it would be about the presence we cultivated in ourselves as the key ingredient to greater abundance for everyone on the planet.

There was one piece of the vision that I left out -- the actual image that came to my mind of what the process could look like for both entrepreneurs and entire organizations. I’ve decided to write about it here.

How To Conjure What You Wish to Create: Part 2

Yesterday, I posted a fairy tale about the Law of Attraction and making your dreams come true.  It’s an imperfect fairy tale, and one whose ending is uncertain, but I wanted to point out what I think is a flaw in Law of Attraction philosophies like The Secret.

The world is not a Fairy Godmother, waiting to grant us our three wishes. I believe we are all part of a Master Plan. We exist to fulfill our calling, live our life purpose, love openly, and serve the Master Plan.  While I don’t doubt the ability to create anything we desire, I think we “succeed” when we not only create, but we do so with the Master Plan in mind.  When we are driven, not by greed or ego but by divine purpose, we can create anything we desire.

How do you do this? Some thoughts…

How to Conjure What You Wish to Create, Part I: A Fable

There’s a lot of talk these days about the Law of Attraction. They make it sound so simple. You just wish for something, and then- POOF! Your fairy godmother appears and you get exactly what you want. Just like that.

Sounds lovely, doesn’t it? But how can that be? If it worked that way, we’d need to do nothing more than make three wishes and, like any good fairy tale, all of our dreams would come true. So why doesn’t it work? Let me tell you a secret … it does. It just doesn’t work that way. What do I mean? Get comfy and I’ll tell you a little story.

How Pinkie Leslee Horner Got Her Mojo Back

lesleeh1I have been getting my Mojo back in little bits and pieces over the last two years. I left my job as a kindergarten teacher to become a stay-at-home-mom. At one point I thought about returning to work so I inquired about a teaching position at my daughter’s preschool. At the end of the conversation, I walked to my car with a sick feeling in my belly. It was the moment I first admitted to myself that I did not want to go back to teaching. That was the moment I opened the door.
