20 million American women suffer from pain with sex, and as an OB/GYN physician and someone who overcame painful sex, a lot of these women find their way to me. Sometimes, especially when the problem is new, it turns out that the reason a woman is having pain with sex is because she has the new onset of herpes. Too often, I’ve had to be the bearer of bad news. This doesn’t go over well.
