Healthy Relationships Start With Loving Yourself

I love watching the conversation around the Pink Effect and using Magical Eyes in our lives grow on a weekly basis. It makes my personal mission of spreading love much easier, by having Pinkies like you to contribute. This week, I would like to introduce you to Lori-Lyn Hurley. I got chills and tears as I listened to her share her story of Magical Eyes. I expect this video will do that same for you.

Communication Breakdown: Giving Others Permission to Shine

Using Magical Eyes in our relationships, I have found, is one of the best ways to create magic in our lives.

I moved to Austin, Texas in 2006 from my home, away from my family, away from friends and everything I knew to be familiar in 2006 with $150 in my bank account and a dream of finding something bigger than what I had in Dallas. Once I made the decision, there was no turning back. I didn’t know how everything was going to get done, how the money would come when I needed it, or whether it was going to be worth leaving my friends and family behind.

Mini Adventures: The Guadalupe Mountains

When I was driving through the Guadalupe Mountains, I couldn’t help but be stunned by their beauty. I have never seen mountains before - only the rolling hills of Austin, Texas (which is another beauty in and of itself).

When I arrived at my friend Johnny’s apartment, he informed me that The Guadalupe Mountains are actually a very dangerous place. Since Juarez, Mexico is just on the other side of the mountains, there are ‘bandits’ that patrol the area searching for people to abduct. Apparently the human trafficking industry is quite profitable.

Owning Fear: Overcoming Chaos

I have been staring at a blank canvas, er, word document for days now thinking to myself, I really need to post something new for the Pinkies to read about how my travels are going. I gave myself 15 minutes to write this post so I couldn’t procrastinate and finish later. Here is what I a came up with.
