I first met Ellen in February on one of the first stops for my Magical Eyes Tour voyage, and it was a true blessing. The first night of my visit we sat over the dinner table with her daughter Kristen Ernst, a glass of wine and our hearts wide open -- ready to give and recieve. When I close my eyes, I can bring myself back to this state of being. It was fresh and full of love.

Before you start reading this article, I invite you to sit quietly for a few seconds. Take in a full breath, let it fill your lungs, and then release it slowly. Repeat this simple breathing exercise and include the words from my favorite meditation:
Breathing in, I calm my body.
Breathing out, I smile.
Dwelling in the present moment,
I know this is a wonderful moment. ~Thich Nhat Hahn
I try to remember this little meditation practice when I feel challenged, tired and inadequate.

Pinkies, please welcome back the magnetic and magical Danielle LaPorte, author of the blog White Hot Truth and creator of the Fire Starter Sessions.
I used to think I was weak n' needy for wanting my "big break." I dreamed of being discovered. I toyed with the willingness to enter some Svengali deal where an agent dude or silver foxy dada would see my raw talent and shape me into a formidable star--a fresh new voice on the scene. I longed for Someone Really Important to give me a Yes that would change my life.

Hiya Pinkies. Many of you met Regena Thomashauer (aka Mama Gena) a while back when I wrote about her after interviewing her for my upcoming book What’s Up Down There? Questions You’d Only Ask Your Gynecologist If She Was Your Best Friend (St. Martin’s Press, Sept 2010). Now, I’m blessed to be able to experience Mama Gena in the flesh (and I’m talking about some juicy Goddess flesh here!) I just finished the first of four rounds of becoming a Sister Goddess at Mama Gena’s School of the Womanly Arts, and I’m so excited to share this journey with all you Pinkies.
"And the day came when the risk to remain tight in a bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom."
-- Anais Nin
Can you feel the excitement?! The buzz of energies, a sense that what you have been waiting for is indeed possible?! Or perhaps you are feeling an uncertainty as you face a blank canvas knowing that it is indeed your time to fill it. Are you feeling that you almost cannot deny the call to respond? As written above, that it's almost becoming too painful to wait any longer? Or maybe you are feeling dead in the water knowing that the old way no longer fits.

Dear Pinkies, please welcome Pink Goddess Elisabeth Manning, Founder of Conscious Conception Fertility Coaching. Elizabeth helps those who want to be parents find "peace, certainty and partnership with your baby in the creation process." How beautiful - and how Pink?? This woman exudes peace and positive energy. Needless to say she has had quite an impact on me, and on Owning Pink. The below post by Elisabeth was actually a comment on my post the other day about creating versus procreating. We couldn't keep the words of this wise and wonderful Pinkie to ourselves any longer. And so, without further ado, please give a warm welcome from your Pink hearts to this incredible Pinkie ... one from whom we'll surely be hearing more!
