New Reflections - Through My Child's Eyes

Oh how I love sharing the Owning Pink stage with our devoted community members. Pauline Campos is one of our newer community members. However, it took her no time to jump right in and share the things that light up her world, with us. Enjoy the read, Pinkies! - Megan Monique

I woke up at 6:30 and was still rushing to get out of the front door by 8:30. We had a 15 minute drive ahead of us to make the bus for the pumpkin patch, our lunches were packed, and Buttercup was sitting pretty on the couch watching TV while I rushed into the bathroom to pull my mexi-fro into a pony tail. I glanced at the clock as I walked by. It was 8:15am. We were going to cut it close, but we would make it.

I had just put my head in the sink for a quick wet down when I heard Buttercup call me from the living room.

Beauty - An Outside Or An Inside Job?

The Owning Pink Community seems to be showered with new and lovely Pinkies on a daily basis. One of our newest members is Goddess Oceana. If you are looking for a fresh, revitilizing spirit, she is it. (Plus, I can't help but be in love with her pink, glowing feathers.) Enjoy this magnificent thought from our lovely new community member. -- Megan Monique

Magazine covers would have us believe that beauty is an outside job, and yet our spiritual leaders tell us it all comes from within. I don’t know about you, but it
leaves my head in a tizzy! I’ve tried every hair color, every type of makeup, dressed myself in every fashion to hit the runways…and unlike the majority, I’ve also studied spirituality from Christianity to paganism and everything in between.

10 Rules For Brilliant Women

Happy Saturday Posse Party, Pinkies and thank you for joining us! Today we have a briliiant piece of work brought to the Owning Pink Community by our very own, Amy Kessel! Today she spotlights another frequent Owning Pink guest, Tara Mohr, who recently wrote a fabulous piece in the Huffington Post called "10 Rules For Brilliant Women" -- read on, Amy will tell you all about it! -- Megan Monique

Tara Mohr, writer/life coach/personal growth teacher, recently wrote an awesome Huffington Post blogpost called 10 Rules for Brilliant Women. Within days, well over a thousand women had re-Tweeted or posted it on Facebook. What was this chord it struck? Why the instant interest? I’m thinking it has something to do with they way we women are claiming our brilliance, and nurturing it. With finding our voices, calling ourselves what we are, and owning our power. Tara’s 10 Rules are reminders that keeping our brilliance alive and well requires ways of being and doing that may go against our conditioning.

What's The Next Step? Career Crossroads

Hey there Saturday Posse Party readers! As many of you know Lissa, Dana and myself had the pleasure of attending BlogHer10 earlier this year. I Am (A Poem)

A while back in the Pink Community, Michelle posted a poem inspired by her life coach called "I Am" that encouraged other Pinkies to take a stab at writing their own "I Am" poem. First I took a stab and now here is Shari's beautiful response. We've found this exercise to be enlightening, encouraging and inspiring. Read on, Pinkies! -- Megan Monique

I Am
I am fire and ice
Though I try to be nice
I’m passionate and caring
And sometimes I’m daring
I’m brave but I am meek
Some could say I’m a freak

Welcome back Syda Renai to the Pink Stage in honor of yet another Pink Posse Saturday. You first met Syda when she shared how Twitter led her to transformation. She is here now to share more of her brilliant wisdom on the choices we make. Take it away, Syda! -- Megan Monique

Everything will get... easier?

I recently read a post on Facebook from my young teenage cousin that read, “Everyone says that life will get easier. What I want to know is, when?” A friend suggested that, “They just say that. It never does.”

I began to think about my life and whether it is easier. I wondered if my life is better than it once was -- which was my cousin’s true question.
