Access Your Power

access power

I'm about to make a major admission of error. I am hereby fessing up to a seriously flawed paradigm that has informed much of my adult life, and, (crap, sorry, apologies in advance,) too much of what I've espoused.

Hunter S. Thompson, Without the Drugs (or Ex-Wives) : My (New) Creative Credo

creative credo

Here's my personal creative credo, synthesized into 5 lines (it's all you need, really):

1. Keep it pointed to where you want it to go.

love local

Hello, my name is Danielle and I'm a recovering Savior of the World. I used to think that my self-worth depended on my vegetarianism, my activism, futurism, my pro-this and anti-that. Had halo, would preach. Had 'isms, would teach.

It's okay. I'll just be laughing to myself over here in the corner."
  • "Oh and about my need to be adored...yeah, sorry about that. It must be so annoying that I love to be loved. I'll do you a favour and lower my expectations. I mean, I should be able to get by on less love by now, I am a grown up afterall."
