What is Owning Pink?

Owning Pink is an online community that provides a safe space for women and men to reclaim their mojo and their authentic selves through connection with like-minded individuals. Begun as a website and series of workshops aimed at helping women reclaim their girlytude, Owning Pink has quickly evolved into a place of unconditional love, acceptance, sharing, and healing. Here you are welcome to remove all facades and tap into your most authentic Pink spark. You are invited to live your truth, tell your story, feel your pain, express your joy, take what you need, and give what you will. Dr. Lissa Rankin and the Mojo Mentors are here to offer guidance, inspiration and ideas through Pink posts and workshops, and the Pink Posse forum is your place to tell your story and connect with other Pinkies. We are committed to helping you live as fully as you can, in whatever way your spirit calls you to do so. Welcome to the Pink Posse.

We’ve had so many wonderful, entertaining, ass-kicking stories from you fabulous Pinkies telling us how you got your Mojo back, or how you Own Pink every day. They are beautiful inspirations to the Owning Pink community, and great reminders of what we all have in us to not only survive, but thrive. Keep the stories coming!

To have your submission considered for posting on owningpink.com, please try your Pinkest to adhere to the following guidelines:

First, join the Pink Posse and create a profile so that Pinkies who read your brilliance on Owning Pink can find out more about you. You are always free to post your story on the Posse Page’s blog. In fact, many guest Pinkies who have made it on to the “main stage” have been regular bloggers on the Posse blog.
Your piece should answer one or both of the following questions: (1) How do you Own Pink? (2) How did you get (or are you getting) your Mojo back? Be specific. Remember, you’re telling a story about YOU. We want to hear about your life, your experience, your Pinkness!
We’re not length-ist or anything (and not like we follow this rule ourselves all the time), but we find that 1,000 words is often plenty for a blog post.
Please include a photo of yourself (or something that represents you Owning Pink) with your submission.
The voice of Owning Pink is one that is open-minded, humorous, and fosters the energy of love within the Pink community. Please keep this in mind when writing. Note that posts may be gently edited for content to ensure consistency with our Pink vibe.
Pink Posts are not opportunities for shameless self-promotion. If you have a business or website, we’d be happy include it on our Pink Links page. However, Owning Pink is about the stories and experiences of Pinkies, and is not a platform upon which to advertise your business.

Submissions can be e-mailed to joy@owningpink.com. If your story is selected for posting on Owning Pink, we will contact you with the approximate date to look for it on the site, as well as the link to send to your fellow Pinkies.
